Charlie Beare (b.1998)

Charlie Beare is a visual artist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland working mainly with the mediums of photography, video and text.

His practice works with themes of queerness, gender identity, masculinity and his own personal experiences of living as a queer transgender man through the mediums of photography, video and text.

He has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions across the north of Ireland including Belfast Exposed and Golden Thread Gallery and has also exhibited in Dublin’s Photo Museum.

Charlie graduated from Ulster University’s Belfast School of Art with a First Class Honours in Bachelor’s of Photography with Video in 2022 and is currently studying an MA in Arts Management at Queen’s University Belfast.
